Sheriff: Suspect released from jail, strikes again 16 minutes later
A 22-year-old man was released from Hillsborough County jail on Saturday and 16 minutes later he committed another crime, deputies said. Marcus Wayne Hunt, 22, of 8708 Fish Lake Road, Tampa, was charged with robbery in the theft of a bicycle, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. Hunt was released from the county jail at 4:22 p.m. Saturday after posting bond. Tampa police had arrested him earlier that day and charged him with fleeing and attempting to elude police, and driving without a valid driver's license. About 16 minutes after his release, Hunt approached a man near 78th Street and Gray Moss Lane, struck him in the face and took his bicycle, valued at $190, the sheriff's office said.Detectives determined Hunt was a suspect and issued a warrant. Hunt was arrested at home Tuesday morning. Hunt has a criminal history with charges including auto theft, burglary, drug possession and assault. He was released from prison in December 2011.
