Police: Suspect caught after robbery at Clearwater CVS
A 22-year-old man was arrested this afternoon soon after he took bottles of pills from the pharmacy of a CVS, Clearwater police said. Alexander Christopher Cintron-Reyes, 22, of 1501 Leo Lane in Clearwater, was caught about a block away from the store at 1899 N. Highland Ave., police said. Cintron-Reyes browsed through the store then headed to the pharmacy, police said. He handed the pharmacist a list of controlled substances and told her she had one minute to give him what he wanted, then he left with 10 to 12 bottles of pills. The first responding officer, who had been only a block away, watched a video of the suspect and was able to broadcast a description that helped other officers and detectives who arrived in the area, police said.
