Police: Man found dead in Pinellas Park home after SWAT situation
The Pinellas Park Police Department is investigating the death of man found in his Pinellas Park home on Tuesday night. The man was involved in a fight at around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday where possible shots were fired at the intersection of 76th Avenue North and 63rd Street North in Pinellas Park, police said. Witnesses told police that the man, who was armed, went to his home at 7860 63rd St. N. While officers were on the scene, they heard a gunshot. A perimeter was created around the home and the agency's Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) responded to the neighborhood, police said. Just after 11 p.m., tactical officers found the man dead inside his home, police said.The case remains under investigation. Detectives are investigating the initial fight and shooting and the man's manner of death. The man's name will be released once it's confirmed and his family has been notified, police said.
