Police ask public for help to solve Tampa homicide
Tampa police are asking for the public's help after a man found dead in his home Tuesday night was ruled a homicide. About 9:42 p.m., a person walking Price Avenue noticed the door at the home of Dwayne Martin, 50, 3201 W. Price Ave., was open. The walker looked inside and found Martin dead. The cause of death was not obvious, police said, but suspicious circumstances led investigators to treat it as a possible homicide, and after an autopsy was conducted this afternoon, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office officially ruled the case a homicide. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS (8477) or through its free "Text-A-Tip" service. Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
