Pinellas Park drug operation nets nine arrests
An operation targeting street-level drug dealers at a Pinellas Park apartment complex has netted nine arrests, with more expected, the Pinellas Park Police Department said today. Arrests in Operation Carrolwood began at about 2:45 p.m. today and centered on 14 suspected street level drug dealers at the Carrolwood Apartments, 4050 78th Ave. N., police said. The investigation began several months ago in response to complaints from neighbors concerning drug activity in the apartment complex. Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division began an investigation which included undercover narcotics purchases from several residents at the apartments and others who live nearby. Those arrested include: Lelton Barron, 28; Tammy Baures 54; Brandon Johnson, 27; Marilyn Rivera, 33; Anthony Roldan, 39; Stephanie Roth, 31; Sarath Sorn, 27; June Verrier, 31; and Derek Yurkin. 33. They face charges including sale and possession of meth, oxycodone and crack cocaine.The remaining five suspects are still being sought.
