Pair sought in theft from Bealls in Wimauma
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a man and woman who stole merchandise last week from a Bealls in Wimauma. The pair was in the store at 3846 Sun City Center Blvd. about 5:10 p.m. Thursday when they selected items worth $156, and the woman entered a dressing room alone, the sheriff's office said. She then put the merchandise in a large handbag. They left the Bealls without paying and were confronted by a store worker, who they then started to fight, the sheriff's office said. The pair fled in a gold or silver four, 4-door Hyundai Sonata missing a rear hubcap, but left the merchandise behind in the handbag. The white woman was described as about 5-foot-5, 190 pounds and 30 to 40 years old. She has shoulder-length brown hair and tattoos on her back, according to the sheriff's office. She was wearing jean shorts, an orange tank top, a white headband, white-framed glasses and flip flops.Her partner was described as a white man, 5-foot-11, about 200 pounds with curly brown hair. He was wearing a light blue, striped polo shirt and khaki shorts, the sheriff's office said. Anyone with any information in the case is asked to call the sheriff's office at 247-8200.
