Neglected dog being treated at Tampa animal hospital
A severely neglected dog is being treated by doctors at a Tampa animal hospital,, and donations are being sought for the animal's care. The approximately 8-year-old, female miniature pincher was found by Polk County Animal Services last week and turned over to Canine Estates rescue group, which took the dog to BluePearl Veterinary Partners today. Canine Estates named the dog Freedom in honor of Thursday's Independence Day holiday. Photos of the dog show open sores on her hindquarters, and she appears to be malnourished."Since coming on-board with Canine Estates, this is the worst case I've seen personally," said Alexis Campbell, a volunteer with Canine Estates. "" Anyone wishing to donate can visit www.canineestates.com or contact the organization at (727) 483-1289 or (727) 422-3037.
