Motorcyclist badly injured in Pinellas Park crash

A motorcyclist received life-threatening injuries Saturday evening in a crash, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

The crash took place about 7 p.m. on 66th Street North at 121st Avenue North, police said, when a 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by John Green, 40, of Largo, drove onto the median and hit a street sign, ejecting Green.

Green, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Bayfront Medical Center as a trauma alert, police said.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Parts of 66th Street were closed for several hours as officers conducted the crash investigation. All lanes have been reopened.
