Man, 72, killed in U.S. 301 head-on collision in Thonotosassa
A 72-year-old man is dead following a two-car collision Sunday evening on U.S. 301 in Thonotosassa, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. William J. Harrington, of Tampa, was killed in the head-on crash at U.S. 301 North and Ohio Avenue, investigators said. His 2009 Honda Civic collided with a 2007 Nissan Murano driven by Monica Main, of Mansfield, Ohio. Main was hospitalized with minor injuries, investigators said.According to troopers, Main was traveling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 301, north of Ohio Avenue. Harrington was traveling north on U.S. 301, south of Ohio Avenue. The two vehicles collided head-on.
