A man suspected in an Aug. 18 rape near his Largo home was arrested Sunday afternoon in Dallas, officials said.
A warrant for 28-year-old Timothy J. Davenport was issued Friday, and detectives developed information that he was possibly in Texas, Largo police said.
Police said Davenport broke into a woman’s residence through an unlocked bathroom window near Sixth Street Northwest and West Bay Drive. Davenport was armed with a knife when he sexually battered the woman, police said.
The woman said she did not know Davenport, police said.
Davenport faces charges of armed sexual battery, armed burglary and kidnapping.
He was being held Tuesday morning in the Dallas County Jail in Texas with no bail set, according to the jail website.
