Hillsborough County Fire Rescue extinguished a Tampa house fire late Thursday.
Crews were called at 8:55 p.m. to the house at 4630 Pompano Drive, where they found heavy smoke coming from the front of the house.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 15 minutes while hotspots of fire were extinguished. Crews rotated inside the home because of humid weather, officials said.
The home’s occupant wasn’t injured. The county fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze and assessing the damage to the structure.
