Detectives seek help in finding suspect in Circle K robbery in Tampa

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the robbery of a Circle K in Tampa.

About 5:11 a.m. April 20, an unidentified black man approached the clerk at the Circle K, 12401 N. Nebraska Ave., put the clerk’s right arm behind his back and implied he had a firearm, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect ordered the clerk to open the cash register, removed money, grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a four-pack of Natural Ice beer and then fled.

Investigators believe the suspect has been seen near the Fountain View Apartments on East 124th Avenue and North 15th Street and said he might go by the nickname “Pogo.”

Anyone with any information in the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (813) 247-8200. To be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report the tip anonymously online here or text “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
