BROOKSVILLE – Susan Townsend, 49, was arrested Sunday after using her stun gun on her boyfriend as he was driving, according to the sheriff’s office.
An arrest affidavit shows Townsend and her boyfriend started arguing while driving in the area of State Road 50 near Spring Lake Highway early Sunday morning.
On the way back to their Sumter Drive home, Townsend pulled her stun gun out of her purse and dry stunned the man several times in his rib area, deputies said.
Multiple red welts were observed on his right rib cage area by law enforcement, deputies said.
Townsend was arrested on domestic battery charges, and was later released on $500 bail. She was ordered not to have contact with the victim, according to the jail booking.
Court records show Townsend was arrested on battery charges earlier this year, which were later dropped by prosecutors.
