Hillsborough County sheriff’s detectives are searching for two men they say made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after an armed robbery involving multiple victims in Tampa this morning.
The men approached their victims around 1 a.m. as they were walking near Hanley Road and Jackson Springs Road and demanded cash while brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun and a chrome semi-automatic handgun, deputies said. The suspects were last seen fleeing toward the Royal Oaks Apartments, deputies said.
The suspects are described as hispanic men between 22 and 29 years of age, deputies said.
One man stands 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with a thin build, multiple tattoos, dark hair and a beard, and was last seen wearing a black tank top, black shorts, glasses, sneakers and a black and red baseball cap, deputies said. The other suspect stands 6-foot-1, 235 pounds with a beard, a medium build, black, curly hair, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office also released surveillance photos of the suspects.
