Dade City woman charged in theft of statues
A Dade City woman was arrested Tuesday in the theft in June of two bronze statues from a Dade City home, according to the Dade City Police Department. Just before 1 p.m. June 25, Brittany Ann Bullington, 25, and a man took two bronze statues valued at $3,000 from a home on Dan Brown Road in Dade City, police say. The pair were staying at the house, an arrest report states. Police say Bullington, who does not have an address, and the man were seen on video at two local recycling centers selling the statues. The pair received $176 for one of the statues at Ramm Recycling Center in Zephyrhills and $171 for the second statue at the Pasco Recycling Center in Dade City.Only Bullington was taken into custody. She is charged with two counts of dealing in stolen property, two counts of false verification of ownership and one count of grand theft. She was in Land O' Lakes Jail on Wednesday with bail set at $9,000.
