A multi-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 275 south of the Ashley Drive exit blocked several lanes on the interstate for more than an hour on Tuesday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said. There were no serious injuries in the crash that occurred at around 1:30 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said. But four of the five northbound I-275 lanes were blocked for more than an hour. A 2012 Mini Cooper driven by Claudia Mona Morgan Adolph, 42, of Riverview, was slowing down because of slowing traffic, FHP said. Behind her was a 2005 Ford Expedition driven by Robert Andrew Beverly, 33, of Odessa. Beverly steered to the left to avoid a collision with the Mini, but he crashed into the left rear side of the vehicle, FHP said.
Traveling behind them Crystal Ryan, who was in a 2010 Honda Pilot, saw Beverly swerve to the left, so she also swerved to the left to avoid a collision with the Mini. But Ryan, 31, of Pinellas Park, crashed into the left rear of the Mini, and it overturned, FHP said. Morgan Adolph and Ryan had minor injuries, but everyone else, including their passengers, suffered no injuries, FHP said. Beverly and Ryan were ticketed for careless driving, FHP said.
