A Clearwater man faces charges after police say he entered a home at gunpoint and ransacked a Pinellas Park home in Pinellas Park.
Pinellas Park police say they received a call Tuesday, just after 2:15 p.m., from a neighbor who said a suspicious man entered a home at 8321 43rd Way N.
When police arrived, they say Christopher M. Tierney, 25, was still inside the house and was seen attempting to flee on several occasions. However, each time he was challenged by police, he refused commands to exit and returned to the home.
Tierney surrendered when he was confronted by a K-9 unit, police say. Tierney faces charges of armed burglary, resisting arrest without violence and a felon in possession of a firearm. He remains in Pinellas County Jail with bond set at $60,150.
