The body of a man found Saturday floating in Tampa Bay has been identified.
Robert Medley’s body was identified by the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office, Tampa police said.
His body was discovered south of the Gandy Boulevard Bridge by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit during a training exercise on Saturday, Tampa police said.
The sheriff’s office contacted Tampa police, which is investigating the case.
Medley, 28, has an at-large address. The body appears to have been in the water for several days, police said.
The cause of death remains under investigation.
