Pinellas Park police officers are investigating a New Year’s Eve crash involving a car and bicyclist.
The man riding the bicycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, police said.
The man, who hasn’t been identified pending notification of next of kin, was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Park Boulevard. About 6:53 p.m., he was struck by an eastbound car in the 6000 block of Park Boulevard. The bicyclist was ejected from his bicycle, which didn’t have safety equipment or lights, police said.
