Belleair bank robbery suspect sought

Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County is seeking the public's help to identify a man who robbed a Belleair bank last week. At 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, the suspect entered Fifth-Third Bank, 601 Indian Rocks Road N., Belleair, and gave a teller a note demanding cash. The teller put the cash, which contained a dye pack, on the counter, and the suspect placed it in his left pocket as he exited the bank. The suspect is a white male, approximately 5-foot-8 with a thin build, and was wearing a teal, black, and white plaid shirt with a T-shirt underneath and khaki pants. He also had dreadlocks, which appeared to be a wig, and was wearing a happy face "doo-rag" on his head. He was last seen riding a blue or blue and silver bicycle eastbound on Wildwood Road towards the Pinellas Trail.
Surveillance images show the same man entered the bank on June 21 wearing no disguise. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
