Apollo Beach woman dies eight days after motorcycle crash

An Apollo Beach woman died Saturday, 10 days after she was involved in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 301 in front of the Florida State Fairgrounds, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Amanda Brungard, 28, was a passenger on a northbound 2009 Kawasaki operated by James Dobbins, 54, of Apollo Beach, troopers said. The bike was struck by a southbound car making a left turn at Elm Fair Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11, investigators said.
