11 arrested during raids on Tampa bottle clubs

Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies raided two after-hours bottle clubs early today, resulting in 11 arrests.

About 3:30 a.m., deputies, aided by agents with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco and the Florida Probation and Parole, served search warrants on Glo Ultra Lounge, 8831 W. Hillsborough Ave., and Til Dawn, 8205 N Dale Mabry Highway.

Bottle clubs are licensed establishments that can let patrons to bring in their own alcohol, but are prohibited from selling liquor.

Glo’s owner/manager Carlos Guzman, 51, and Til Dawn’s manager William Rich, 44, were arrested and charged with selling alcohol without a license.

At Glo, agents seized 32 bottles of alcoholic beverages, 11 baggies of cocaine weighing 9.2 grams and one baggy of prescription pills weighing 11 grams that were discarded by patrons.

At Til Dawn, 50 bottles of alcoholic beverages were seized.

Deputies said both clubs have a history of drug and prostitution activity, as well violent crimes. On Feb. 28, a patron at Glo was shot and killed by a bouncer.

Besides Guzman, arrested at Glo were:

♦ Rolando Clemente, 24, arrested on a notice to appear for selling alcohol without a license

♦ Luz Maria Perez, 42, arrested on a warrant for two counts of possession and delivery of cocaine

♦ William Perez-Quinones, 42, arrested on a warrant for delivery of cocaine and conspiracy to deliver cocaine

♦ Angel Pacheco, 33, charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting with violence, and possession/display of a suspended driver’s license

♦ Christopher Kenney, 32, charged with possession of cocaine and delivery of cocaine

♦ Kristina Sanchez, 26, charged with possession of marijuana - less than 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia

♦ Kevin McKissack, 33, arrested on a warrant for non-payment of child support

Besides Rich, arrested at Til Dawn were:

♦ Andre Wilson, 48, arrested on a warrant for two counts each of delivery of cocaine and possession of cocaine, and one count each of delivery of MDMA and possession of MDMA

♦ Kareem R. Nurse Brockett, 33, charged with possession of marijuana - less than 20 grams

More arrests are pending, deputies said.
