Soccer store opens on Gunn Highway, just in time for the World Cup

Even though the United States Menís soccer team didnít qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, that hasnít diminished local fansí excitement about the upcoming international event.

Ariel Martinez, owner of Best Buy Soccer and Lacrosse, has already received calls inquiring when World Cup jerseys will be in stock. Though they wonít be available until the spring, the store has plenty of jerseys and soccer gear for fans and players of all ages.

Best Buy Soccer and Lacrosse is a specialty sporting goods store that focuses on soccer, and will soon add lacrosse equipment.

"Weíre the only soccer store in the area," Martinez said.

The store offers cleats, balls, jerseys, shirts, jackets and much more for soccer fans and players.

Compared to other larger stores that sell equipment for multiple sports, Martinez pointed out that his store offers customers individual attention and soccer expertise in a relaxed environment.

"Weíre a lot more knowledgeable," said Martinez.

A big screen TV and a large, comfortable couch welcome shoppers to watch a match while they shop. The store also hosts watch parties for local soccer teams.

Currently, the 12 Days of Giving sale is underway, and shoppers can visit facebook/tampasoccerstore to find out different daily specials.

Best Buy Soccer and Lacrosse is located in Westwood Plaza at 4507 Gunn Highway. It is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (813) 513-4272.
