Restaurant breaks new ground at former water works

A groundbreaking event Wednesday at the former Tampa Water Works building marked the Columbia Restaurant Group's ceremonial start to turn the historic structure into a restaurant, Ulele, named for an adjacent spring.
Work on the project got underway more than a year ago.
The Gonzmart family has been working with architects, construction supervisors, historians, water managers and city officials to transform the building into the Ulele (pronounced You-lay-lee).
