Manufacturer to bring 15 new jobs to Tampa
TAMPA - A Gainesville manufacturer will create 15 jobs as it relocates its headquarters to Tampa. Heat Pipe Technology, a division of MiTek Inc., expects to move from Gainesville to a new facility near Interstate 4 and Interstate 75 by November. The move will give the firm about 45 percent more space than it has in Gainesville, offer access to a better labor pool and allow it to transport goods more easily, said Gregg Renner, a MiTek marketing official. The company will move 15 existing jobs to Tampa and hire for another 15 jobs in manufacturing, inside sales and technology in the next few months, Renner said. The company makes dehumidification and energy-savings equipment for buildings.
