Deal keeps Carnival cruises in Tampa through 2017
Carnival Cruise Lines has signed a new lease that will keep the cruise company at the Port of Tampa through 2017. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Miami-based Carnival first sailed from the port in October 1994, and its sister company Holland America Line first sailed from the port in 1982. The port announced the deal on the heels of its own financial study that found the port's overall economic impact of $15.1 billion per year.
