A brush fire in east Hillsborough County spread to a stack of salvage vehicles Friday morning, officials said. The Florida Forest Service handled the brush fire while Hillsborough Fire Rescue handled the junk fire at 6050 Jensen Road, officials said. Firefighters found a stack of burning vehicles in the yard that backed up to the brush fire. Crews eventually were able to contain and extinguish the fire, officials said. Tanker operations were established due to a lack of hydrants in the area. There were no injuries reported. The fire was under control, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said just after 8 a.m. Firefighters from the agency responded to 6050 Jensen Road, near Progress Village. No other information was available.
