After cresting a bridge he collided with a much slower 2012 VIP Scooter driven by Angel Felipe, 54, of Tampa, police said. Hood and a passenger, 31-year-old Amanda Rae Sarmiento of Tampa, were ejected from the motorcycle and airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, where Hood died a short time later. Sarmiento is listed in critical condition, police said.
