Tampa woman killed in single-vehicle crash on I-75
TAMPA A Tampa woman is dead after crashing her car on an Interstate 75 exit ramp early this morning. Sophia Hamilton McCoggle, 40, of Tampa, was driving south on the exit ramp from I-75 onto E. Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard when the Hyundai Sonata she was driving left the road and collided with a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Hamilton died from her injuries at the scene of the crash, troopers said. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
