Seffner teen, 15, charged in stabbing at school

A Seffner middle school student has been charged with aggravated battery after stabbing another student on campus.

The Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office responded to Jennings Middle School around 8:45 in response to a stabbing.

Deputies say the boy, 15, stabbed a 14-year-old boy in the back with a 4-inch serrated steak knife.

The victim is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, deputies say.

The suspect has been has been transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
