Police: Haines City man charged in stabbing death of wife
A Haines City man stabbed his wife to death and injured her sons who were able to hold him for officers early this morning, according to police. About 1:13 a.m., officers were called to 107 Richmar Ave. to investigate a reported stabbing and found that Tommy Jones had just attacked his wife, Juanita Jackson-Jones, 56, police said. Jackson-Jones died at the scene. Floyd O'Hara Jr. and Joaquin Omar Jackson, sons of Jackson-Jones, subdued Jones, police said. Both O'Hara and Jackson were treated for their wounds and released from local hospitals.Jones is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and violating his probation.
