A video producer making a documentary about President John F. Kennedy’s visit to Tampa just before his 1963 assassination is seeking photos or home movies shot by local people to include in the film.
Lynn Marvin Dingfelder is making the film in conjunction with the Tampa Bay History Center. The film will air on WUSF and premiere at the Tampa Theatre.
The film and a month-long exhibit at the History Center will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kennedy’s visit to Tampa on Nov. 18, four days before his death in Dallas.
Those with items they’d be willing to have included in the film can email Ding felder at [email protected]
Items will be scanned for use in the film or the History Center exhibit and returned unharmed, she said. For a description of the project, go to http://jfkintampa.org/.
