Pedestrian killed crossing U.S. 41 in Land O’ Lakes
A Land O’ Lakes man died after being hit by a car while walking across U.S. 41 in Land O’ Lakes on Friday, troopers said. The name of the pedestrian was not released, pending notification of family. A second pedestrian, Howard Farley Creps, 21, of Land O’ Lakes, was also taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital North in Lutz with serious injuries from the collision. Creps and the other man were in the crosswalk at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Hale Road when they walked into the path of a 1995 Honda Civic driven by Christopher Bossio, 24, of Spring Hill, troopers said.Bossio was not injured in the crash, troopers said.
