A New Port Richey girl was arrested Sunday for beating and kicking her pregnant sister, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
At 10:33 p.m. Sunday, Kelly Anne Kendrick, 15, was inside the Tonga Lane apartment she shares with her family when she and her pregnant sister began to argue about an electronic tablet device.
Kendrick put her 18-year-old sister in a headlock and later shoved her against a wall, causing her head to hit the wall, deputies said.
Kayci Kendrick is 33 weeks pregnant, according to the incident report.
At some point, the pair fell to the floor and Kendrick kicked her sister in the stomach, deputies said, smiling a short time later.
The 15-year-old hit another sister, who is 14, and a friend, 16, who were also inside the apartment at the time of the scuffle.
When the teen’s mother arrived home shortly after the fight began, Kendrick spit at and punched her mother in the face several times, deputies said.
Kendrick is charged with domestic aggravated battery of a pregnant person and domestic battery, both felonies.
She was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center at the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
