Tampa Bay area commuters can expect a chance of another wet drive home.
After a dry morning and highs reaching 90, winds from the southeast will fuel afternoon storms that will start inland and move west into later this afternoon, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain today, and some of those storms could be severe, with lightning and high winds.
The storms will push toward the coast and taper off tonight.
The area can expect similar conditions heading into the weekend.
