A 12-year-old Tampa boy suffered minor injuries this morning when he was struck by a car while walking to school.
Tampa police say the boy was walking to Van Buren Middle school and crossing Busch Boulevard, just west of North 22nd Street, when he was grazed by a car.
The car struck the boy, who was not crossing at a crosswalk, with its left front bumper, knocking him to the ground, police say.
The boy suffered a possible broken nose, police say. He was able to walk to the ambulance and will be transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver was not at fault and will not be cited, police say.
