Seminole man killed in single-vehicle crash on I-275

A man died after an early-morning crash in which the Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving overturned on Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg. Jared Sam Demontimorency, 29, of Seminole, was driving on the exit ramp leading to Roosevelt Boulevard, so as to travel west on 118th Street North, at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. That's when the vehicle went onto the shoulder, overturned several times and collided with the barrier wall on the overpass, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Demontimorency and passengers Michelle Marie Demontimorency, 24, of Seminole, and Gary Arthur Mygdal, 24, of Seminole, were ejected from the truck, troopers said. Jared Demontimorency died later at the Bayfront Medical Center. Michelle Demontimorency is in serious condition at Bayfront Medical Center and Mygdal was listed in critical condition there, troopers said.
None of the three were wearing seatbelts, troopers said. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Stay with TBO.com for updates.
