Police: Celebratory gunfire strikes man, home ST. PETERSBURG - Police in St. Petersburg say the stray bullet that injured a 38-year-old man likely came from a Fourth of July celebration. The bullet reportedly fell from the sky and hit Robert Anthony Turner Thursday about 10 p.m. Turner was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with cuts on his neck and right eyebrow. His injuries were not life threatening.Three miles away, another bullet went through the ceiling of a St. Petersburg home and wound up lodged in a bamboo table. Law enforcement officials throughout Tampa Bay had pleaded with residents not to fire guns in the air on the Fourth of July. St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz said celebratory gunfire is illegal and has resulted in several injuries in recent years.
