A 6-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV in northeast Tampa tonight, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
At around 6:18 p.m., Yves Zamora was riding a scooter in a driveway at 13704 N. 20th St., less than 200 feet from his home, and traveled into the road in front of a Nissan Xterra driven by Jack Bradley, 65, of Tampa, deputies said.
Bradley tried to swerve, but wasn’t able to avoid hitting Zamora, deputies said.
The boy was transported to Tampa General where her remained in critical condition Tuesday night.
Bradley is not facing criminal charges in the accident, deputies said.
