A new poll by Gravis Marketing, one of the few polls on Charlie Crist-Nan Rich matchup in the Democratic gubernatorial primary, shows Crist up 68-20 percent with 12 percent undecided.
Gravis Marketing is a Winter Springs-based research and marketing firm that specializes in automated dial services and political campaigning, and uses automated dial or “robopoll” methodology in polling.
The July 23-24 poll included 792 registered Democratic likely voters with an error margin of 4 percentage points, Gravis said.
While there’s been substantial polling matching Crist and Rich against Gov. Rick Scott, there’s been little matching them against each other, a matchup coming in the Aug. 26 primary.
That’s partly because it’s assumed Crist has a long lead and partly because Florida primaries, in which only those registered in the party can vote, are tricky and expensive to poll.
