Big turnout at job fair for north Tampa Whole Foods
TAMPA - A weekend job fair held to fill about 150 positions drew 800 applicants to a Whole Foods Market poised to open in North Tampa. The event took place Friday and Saturday at the market, 3802 Northdale Blvd., just west of North Dale Mabry Highway. Ginger Lovett, a regional "team member" coordinator, said turnout was excellent both days. The event was scheduled to recruit employees for the store's 10 departments, she said, including cashiers, bakers, cake decorators, meat cutters, stockers and maintenance staff. The opening date for the store will be announced Monday, Lovett said.The chain grocery specializes in natural and organic foods. The only other Whole Foods Market in Hillsborough County is in South Tampa at 1548 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
