Some of the cast of “Dolphin Tale 2” will walk the blue carpet at Ruth Eckerd Hall when the movie premieres there this fall.
The sequel to the 2011 hit “Dolphin Tale,” starring Clearwater Marine Aquarium resident Winter the dolphin, will screen at the Clearwater venue on Sept. 10, followed by an after party.
Among the actors attending the premiere are Nathan Gamble, who plays Sawyer, the young boy who discovered Winter caught in a crab trap, from the original film and the sequel.
Cozi Zuehlsdorff, who portrays Harry Connick Jr.’s character’s daughter, Austin Highsmith, who plays animal trainer Phoebe and Austin Sowell, who plays Kyle, will also be in attendance.
More actors from the film could attend the premiere, according to a news release from Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
The premiere will be open to the public. Tickets, ranging from $25 to $150, are available at rutheckerdhall.com VIP tickets, which include the after-party event are also available.
The sequel also stars Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Kris Kristofferson, and features the screen debut of Hope, a dolphin calf who lives at the aquarium. “Dolphin Tale 2” opens in theaters Sept. 12.
