8's Army

Thank you for your interest in News Channel 8's 8's Army. We're looking for a few good men and women to assist Bay Area consumers as part of our 8 On Your Side Helpline

8's Army volunteers staff the helpline and help folks find solutions to commonly asked consumer questions. They also tell them where to turn for help with tougher consumer issues. Don't worry, our staff has done all the homework and makes sure all our volunteers have the resources there in front of them to confidently point callers in the right direction.

In this day of "Buyer Beware", the more people know, the less likely they are to be taken advantage of by bad businesses. And you can help them sharpen their consumer skills - sharpening your own in the process.

8's Army is looking for friendly people, 18 or older, willing to volunteer just 1 day each week from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. at The News Center (located near downtown Tampa.)
