March Against Monsanto’ comes to Tampa
TAMPA - Protesters near Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Saturday were among people in 250 U.S. cities and other countries calling attention to seed giant Monsanto’s support of genetically modified food. Backers of such food products say the modifications enable farmers to produce larger, more nutritious crops. Opponents involved in the “March Against Monsanto” counter that such foods can cause health problems and harm the environment.
