The Tampa Bay area is awakening to a foggy start to Super Bowl Sunday that had the Sunshine Skyway closed for several hours due to low visibility.
The fog should burn off about 9 a.m. then there will be a high of 82. More patchy fog is coming for tonight after 1 a.m., and the skies will be mostly cloudy with a low of 61.
Another foggy start is in store for Monday, then the day turns partly sunny with a high near 79. The overnight low is 63.
The fog returns about 3 a.m. Tuesday, ending about 8 a.m., then the day should be warm with a high of 82 and mostly cloudy with a low around 63.
There is a 20 percent chance of showers for Wednesday with a high near 81. The chance of rain stays in place for Wednesday night with a low around 61.
Thursday keeps the chance of rain, mostly cloudy skies and a high near 79. The overnight low will be around 61.
Friday there is a 20 percent chance of showers with a high near 79. The chance of rain remains for Friday night with a low around 61.
Saturday will warm to a high of 79 with a remaining chance of rain. The low falls to about 50.
