The Tampa Bay area will be treated to another great day today, but then the rain comes and soaks the region for St. Patrick’s Day.
The skies will be mostly sunny today with a high near 82, and it could be windy with gusts as high as 28 mph. Some rain moves in tonight about 2 a.m. and there will be a low of 70.
Showers and thunderstorms arrive Monday and some could be severe. The high will be near 75. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent and nearly an inch of rain is possible. The rain will continue Monday night with a low of 64.
On Tuesday the remaining showers will end before about 8 a.m., then the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 73. Tuesday night will be clear with a low around 55.
The remainder of the week will have sunny days and clear nights with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low to mid-60s.
