Q: What do you think is going to be the Bucs’ biggest weakness on defense this year?
— Bob Williams, St. Petersburg
A: Until I’m proven wrong, I’m going to have to say the pass rush. The Bucs are leaning on largely unproven players who have yet to show they are on an elite level. And the way Da’Quan Bowers has looked in camp is a little troubling. That said, the Bucs have been waiting three years to field a line that includes Bowers, Adrian Clayborn and Gerald McCoy. The Bucs are confident they can be part of a very effective unit, and with new stunts and blitzes thrown in, they just might be effective. That improved secondary should help.
