Storm subdue Predators in Orlando
Quarterback Adrian McPherson threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead the Tampa Bay Storm to a 53-35 win against the rival Predators on Saturday night in Orlando. Tampa Bay improved to 3-2 and kept Orlando winless on the season at 0-4. The Stormís defense struck first Saturday when De-Audra Dix intercepted a pass thrown by Predators QB Kyle Rowley. Dix returned the interception to the Orlando 15-yard line before fumbling the ball. Tampa Bayís Rash Barksdale scooped up the fumble and returned it the final 15 yards for a Storm touchdown. Tampa Bay led the entire first half, but Orlando rallied behind backup QB Chris Dixon to take a 28-27 lead in the third quarter.McPherson responded, throwing touchdown passes of 40 and 25 yards to Greg Ellingson and Michael Lindsey to put the Storm ahead for good. Tampa Bay faces another road test next Saturday at 10 p.m. against the Spokane Shock.
