Terrance Sanders returned an interception and a kickoff for a touchdown to lead the host Spokane Shock past the Tampa Bay Storm, 55-52, on Monday night.
The Storm (8-9) dropped their third straight game and suffered a major setback in their playoff chances. Tampa Bay must win Saturday night against Cleveland and needs Philadelphia to lose to move back into the No. 4 spot in the American Conference.
Erik Myers threw for five scores and ran for another for the Shock (10-7), who won their third straight and clinched the No. 3 seed in the National Conference.
