I agree with the views expressed in Thursday’s paper (“Putting partisanship aside and making tough choices” by U.S. Reps. David Jolly and Patrick E. Murphy, Other Views).
They make many good points, especially about the SAVE Act series.
Another point about bipartisanship is that it has been lacking and the people we hired have failed to do their jobs.
This is no different than you working in a factory and your boss coming to you and saying, “All right, guys, we have a huge order on the line. The order has to be done by the end of the week.”
And all week, all you did was fight with your coworker, and nothing got done — not one box ready to ship.
Do you think you would be fired?
We have the power in our hands to clear the way. Anybody in Congress for more than eight years needs to be fired — Democrat and Republican. Now.
Mr. Jolly and Mr. Murphy are right. It’s Congress’ fault.
I hope all Americans will use their power and vote. Vote like never before. Use the power you have and change this country, because after the elections, if things aren’t changed, then it will be the fault of every single American.
You have the power and authority — use it.
